Business Restructuring is an all encompassing and at times a misused phrase. Step 2: understand the reasoning behind a restructure. This can be a commercial matter such as impending litigation, merger or acquisition, cashflow crisis, or an asset protection matter. Or it can be tax driven compliance such as R&D or future CGT consequences.

Step 3: is to develop a business restructure plan that delivers the desired result inclusive of ensuring that the key business drives are not detrimentally affected by this process.

Step 4: the final step, is the implementation of the business restructure plan.
